The Re-Enactor

my reenactment career started in 1991 when i joined S.C.U.M. (south coast unaffiliated mercenaries) principally doing iron age and late medieval reenactment and living history.

      we have performed regularly for english heritage, television and film companies under the more user friendly name The Free Company.

     we have done a number of shows in France, Italy and Germany and we have participated

in the Peter and Paul Fest in Bretten, Germany since 1996.

    i moved to the South of France in 2002 and this has severely curtailed my reenactment

activities as it is not very popular in France and most of the shows i have seen here are of

the nylon curtain material variety but i still goto Bretten every year and try to get back to Blighty at least once a year.
